The Austin College Police & Safety Department is located in the Jackson Technology Center, Room 100.
Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mission Statement

Campus Police Services
Campus Police provides the following services to the students, faculty, staff, and guests of the Austin College community:
- Escorts
- Motorist assistance - jump starts for dead batteries, getting keys out of locked cars, or assisting in calling a tow truck, if needed
- Lock changes for residence halls
- Medical escorts to the emergency room or to a doctors appointment, if a Student Life representative is not available
- Building or room access to authorized students
- Issue temporary ID cards after hours to those who might have left their ID at home or in their room
Crime Prevention
There are two Crime Prevention Programs that are offered each year. The SHARP Evaluations (Sexual Harassment, Assault and Rape Prevention) which is taught by a local martial arts instructor to teach female students ways to protect themselves against sexual harassment and rape.
Project Shadow is a Crime Prevention Program that was created to instill the students with the importance of securing their belongings in their rooms by shutting and locking the doors when the room is both occupied and unoccupied. ACPD does this in the fall close to the beginning of each school year in coordination with the Resident Managers, Resident Assistants and Area Coordinators.
Sex Offender Information
In accordance to the Campus Sex Crime Prevention Act (section 1601 of Public Law 106-386), which is a federal law enacted on October 28, 2000, that provides for the tracking of convicted, registered sex offenders enrolled as students at institutions of higher education, or working or volunteering on campus, Austin College is providing access to the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry to the campus community.
